The ERASMUS+ program offered reciprocal, diverse support for the students, trainees, and young workers in the UK who need it to launch their lives and careers. By dropping out of the ERASMUS+ program and replacing it with the Turing scheme, the UK has cut off the flow of international students and workers into the UK, and limited its sight to just British students. In doing so, it has demolished a huge revenue scheme for the country, reduced our influence and relevance on the global stage, and taken away key opportunities for growth and education that built our strongest links to our closest neighbours.
